Bon Anniversaire Marie Curie!
We’ve been crazy busy and neglected poor old BuzzRocket, but we’re back and wanted to celebrate by once again posting about another incredible Google Doodle – yeah, we’re still obsessed. This one is about Madame Marie Curie, the first woman to win the Nobel Prize and the first female scientist to get a Doodle. Go, girl. Happy 144th!
Google Eclipse!
In recognition of the lunar eclipse, Google Doodle knocked out this cool, animated logo. Watch out for weirdos tonight. Boo!
Happy Birthday Les Paul!
This is hands down my favorite Google Doodle yet! To celebrate Les Paul’s 96th birthday, Google Doodle has posted this interactive guitar doodle that you can actually play! Sweet! Start strumming here.
Happy Birthday Richard Scarry!
What a treat to find Lowly Worm (my all-time favorite Busytown resident) integrated in today’s Google Doodle! Today marks what would have been the 92nd birthday of the animals only Busytown creator. Scarry authored more than 250 children’s stories. Scarry passed away in 1994 in Switzerland. Click here to see the bustling Busytown treatment on the Google logo.
Happy Birthday Roger Hargreaves!
To celebrate the 76th birthday of author and illustrator Roger Hargreaves, Google Doodle has launched a series of Google logos featuring the iconic characters from his Mr. Men books, including Little Miss Sunshine (my favorite), Mr. Bump and Mr. Happy. The first Mr. Men book went on sale in 1971. Today they have sold more than 100 million copies in 28 countries. Happy Birthday, Mr. Hargreaves! Thanks for making me smile.
Happy Birthday John James Audubon!
This could be the prettiest Google Doodle yet. In honor of French-American ornithologist John James Audubon‘s birthday, Google Doodle has put out this lovely Google logo … just in time for Spring.
Happy Birthday Charlie Chaplin!
In honor of silent film star/comedian Charlie Chaplin’s birthday, Google Doodle posted an animated short in lieu of their standard logo. Chaplin, famous for his slapstick antics, and signature mustache and hat, was born on April 16, 1889.
Happy 50th Anniversary Yuri Gagarin!
Another wonderful Google Doodle and this one has a ROCKET! In celebration of the first human trip to space made by cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, Google is running a cool logo, featuring a rocket that takes flight! Love it.
