Welcome back Treme!
What a wonderful end to a Sunday night. Treme Season Two premiered this evening. Ah … My favorite show about one of my favorite cities. Every episode highlights the many musicians and bands out of New Orleans, and tonight there was no shortage. The episode ended with one of my personal favorites, Galactic, playing at Tipitina’s. Thanks to a mutual friend, I used to spend a lot of time in the Big Easy and would hang out with Stanton Moore both there and in Columbus, Ohio, when he’d play in my hometown. I miss seeing those guys, so it was especially exciting catching them on Treme tonight. I also saw a writing credit for Anthony Bourdain! I had no idea he was on the team, but it makes total sense. Anyway, here’s a little Stanton action from a 2009 Galactic show at Tip’s.

Laissez les bons temps rouler! We’ve spent much time on the bayou. And love all things NOLA. Especially these guys. But who doesn’t love themselves a little Rebirth?
